1931 Exhibited a press and a forging machine

1937 Public company. The company was an amalgamation of 2 machine tool and reconditioning companies[1] - Coventry Machine Tool Works (which specialised in horizontal forging machines) and Centaur Tool Works (which specialised in grinding machines).[2]

1961 Engineers, manufacturing machine tools, hot milling machines and specialising in horizontal forging machines. [3]

1961 Manufactured Covmac horizontal forging machines and Stirk planing machines. Acquired by Wickman, including the wholly-owned subsidiary John Stirk and Sons[4]

1964 After another difficult year, the businesses of the 2 companies (Coventry and Stirk) were combined under the name John Stirk and Sons[5]
