c.1844 William Barningham and three of his brothers started a foundry at Manchester.
1845 James Wheelwright Smith left the partnership with James Barningham, Christopher Barningham, William Barningham, at Collyhurst-foundfyt near Manchester, as Iron and Brass Founders[1]
A copartnership of Thomas Barningham (part-time), James Barningham, Christopher Barningharm, and William Barningham, Ironfounders, formed under the firm of Barningham, Brothers."[2]
This business was not a success, and in eighteen months William Barningham had lost all the money he had previously earned in France.
