Claude Goubet

Claude-Désiré Goubet was born in Lyon in 1837. His father was head of the Compagnie des Chemins de fer d'Orléans.

Goubet filed numerous patents, and developed two electrically-propelled submarines, named Goubet I and Goubet II.

He died in 1903.
