'...Petition for adjudication in Bankruptcy, filed the 17th day of November 1849, hath been presented against Frederick Collier Christy, Frederick Adams, and James Powell Hill, all of Rotherhithe, in the county of Surrey, carrying on business in Copartnership as Engineers, Boilermakers, Iron and Brass Founders, at the Thames Iron Works, at Rotherhithe aforesaid, under the style or firm of Christy, Adams, and Hill, and they being declared bankrupts...'[1][2]
