1883 S. L. Sharrock was the manager of the Chester Engineering Works of the Hydraulic Engineering Co.[1]

1893 Serious fire at the Chester Engineering Works, Charles Street.[2]

1894 Chester Hydraulic Co supplied 4 triple expansion engines for the central hydraulic station at Manchester.
