British subsidiary of US company

1914 Maker of lubricating oil

1923 moved to Victoria Road.

1956 The company took over Pond's Extract Co of Perivale to form Chesebrough-Ponds

1964 Pond's, with three other companies which had become part of the group, moved to Park Royal.

1978 the factory made Vaseline and Q-tips products, employing c. 350

1987 The Chesebrough Manufacturing Company was acquired by Unilever. 14% of the company was subsequently traded privately to Bhosle Group of Industries for an undisclosed amount of money.
