1861 Partnership dissolved. '... the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, Samuel Cbatwood and William Dawes, as Manufacturers of Iron Safes, Locks, and Sewing Machines, at Bolton, in the county of Lancaster, under the firm of Chatwood and Dawes, was this day dissolved by mutual consent. All debts due or owing to or from the said late firm will be received .and paid by the said Samuel Chat-wood, who will in future carry on the business of the late firm on bis own account....'[1]
