1824 Death notice: 'On Saturday last, at his house in Long Acre, London, aged 56, Mr. Charles Simpkin, of the firm of Hadley, Simpkin, and Co.'[1]
1829 "PURSUANT to a Decree of the High Court of Chancery, made in a cause wherein John Garrard Elgood is the plaintiff, and Thomas Simpkin and others are defendants, the Creditors of Alice Simpkin, late of Long-Acre, in the County of Middlesex, Widow (who died in the month of February 1827), are forthwith to come in before Francis Paul Stratford, Esq. one of the Masters of the said Court, at his Chambers, in Southampton-Buildings, Chancery-Lane, London, and prove their debts, or in default thereof they will be excluded the benefit of the said Decree."[2]
1829 "PURSUANT to a Decree of the High Court of Chancery, made in a cause wherein John Garrard Elgood is the plaintiff, and Thomas Simpkin and others are defendants, the Creditors of Charles Simpkin, late of Long-Acre, in the County of Middlesex, Engine-Manufacturer (who died on the 2nd day of July 1824), are forthwith to come in and prove their debts before Francis Paul Stratford, Esq. one of the Masters of the said Court, at his Chambers, in Southampton-Buildings, Chancery- Lane, London, or in default thereof they will be excluded the benefit of the said Decree."[3]
