Charles James Phillips (1863-1940) of Stanley Gibbons

1863 May 15th. Born at Birmingham the son of John Oliver Chapman Phillips, a Dentist and Farmer of 100 acres, and his wife Rosa Mansfield.

1885 Married(1) at Birmingham to Emily Mercy Ralph and they had two sons.

1891 Living at 8 Gower Street, St Giles North, London: Charles James Phillips (age 27 born Birmingham), Foreign Stamp Dealer and Publisher. With his wife Emily Mercy and their two sons.[1]

1920 Married(2) at Manhattan to Lillian Emily Lake (died 1929)

1940 June 02nd. Died in Manhattan, New York, USA.
