Charles Henry Thomas (1851-1911)

CHARLES HENRY THOMAS, born at Oswestry on the 15th April, 1851, died at Bassaleg, Mon., on the 29th April, 1911.
Trained under the late Mr. George Owen, he was employed by him on Welsh railways until 1877, when he was appointed Chief Engineer of the Brecon and Merthyr Railway.
Two years later he became also Engineer to the London and North-Western, and Brecon and Merthyr Joint Committee, holding both these posts until his death.
Mr. Thomas was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 1st February, 1881.
