Charles Edwin Ware (1837-1911)
1837 September 17th. Born at Exeter the son of John Ware, a Builder, and his wife Ann Searle Pickard
1862 Married(1) at Exeter to Lucy Anne Hayman. Nine children

1881 Married(2) at Wandsworth to Valentine Marie Jeanne Mesturas. One son.

1891 Living at Iddesleigh, Heavitree Road, Exeter: Charles E. Ware (age 53 born Exeter). With his wife Valentine (age 37 born Paris) and their four sons.[2]
1911 Living at 4 Baring Place, Heavitree, Exeter: Charles Edwin Ware (age 73 born Exeter), Civil Engineer - Employer. Widower. With his daughter Jane Anne. (age 47 born Chorlton, Kent).[3]

CHARLES EDWIN WARE, born at Exeter on the 17th September, 1837, died at that city on the 3rd October, 1911.
He served an apprenticeship to his father, and after being employed under Government for a short time, he commenced practice as a consulting engineer at Exeter, and was responsible for a number of important works in the locality.
In addition to his private practice, he held the office of City Surveyor between 1867 and 1874, and also acted as assessor for several Fire Insurance companies.
Mr. Ware was elected an Associate of The Institution on the 1st April, 1873, was subsequently placed in the class of Associate Members, and was transferred to the class of Members on the 17th February, 1880.
