1917 October 14th. Died age 50. Memorial at Higher Cemetery, Exeter

Awarded Long Service and Good Conduct Medal. Father of Austin Dean, of 3, Abbot's Road, Priory Estate, Exeter. Served in Burma War (1885-87; 1889-90), and in the South African Campaign.
