Charles Blackball Reid (1879-1953), the editor of 'The Surveyor' and chairman of the St. Bride's Press

It is with regret that we note the death of Mr. C. B. Reid, the editor of 'The Surveyor' and chairman of the St. Bride's Press, Ltd., with which he had been associated for over half a century.

Charles Blackball Reid was born on March 22, 1879, and he joined the editorial staff of The Surveyor in 1899, a few years after it was founded.

He became editor in 1917, was elected to the board of the St. Bride's Press, Ltd., in 1934, and succeeded to the chairmanship in February, 1952.
