CARLOS SINCLAIR ADAM MUNRO was constructional and maintenance engineer to the Islington Borough Council Electricity Department for twenty years.
He was born in Wick, Caithness, and received his technical education from 1894 to 1900 at the Technical College, Glasgow, and the Polytechnic, Regent Street, London.
In 1898 he commenced four years' apprenticeship with the Anderston Foundry Company, Glasgow, and was engaged upon high-speed engines, air compressors, and hydraulic work.
In 1903 he became for a short period mains assistant to the Metropolitan Electric Supply Company and was then appointed engineer in charge of the generating and substations of that company at Rathbone Place, Sardinia Street, and Fisher Street.
He joined the Twickenham and Teddington Electric Supply Company in 1908 as station superintendent of their power house, and remained there until 1914, when he took up the Islington Borough Council appointment, which he held at the time of his death.
Mr. Munro had been an Associate Member of the Institution since 1912.
He died on 6th January 1934 at the age of 57 years.
