1965 June: Cammell, Laird and Co was split into two distinct companies[1]:

1967 Repaired 383 foreign flagged ships from 40 countries in the year

1960s The ship repairing company constructed a new large dry-dock which enabled it to keep in the forefront of repairing.

1970 After a financial crisis, the parent company was renamed as Laird Group; it held 50 percent of the shipbuilding business (the government took on the other 50 percent), as well as the other activities of the former company, including the ship repairing business.

1971 A serious miscalculation on the cost of refitting a liner led to a loss by the Cammell Shiprepairing business[2]

1994 the dry-docks came under new ownership and are back in operation again.

2003 Appointment of liquidator[3]. Previous Names of Company: Grayson, Rollo and Clover Docks Limited and H. and C. Grayson Limited.
