Created by the combination of the Buckingham and Brackley Junction Railway and the Oxford and Bletchley Junction Railway.

1850 The line opened from Bletchley to Banbury

1851 The Verney Junction to Oxford section opened

In 1879 it was absorbed into the London and North Western Railway
