1932 Sarson's merged with other vinegar manufacturers and formed British Vinegars.
1937 The Distillers Co and Crosse and Blackwell held a controlling interest in the British Vinegar Co[1].
1954 Acquired the British businesses of Holbrooks Ltd, makers of sauces, including the vinegar brewery at Stourport[2]
1960 Crosse and Blackwell was taken over by Nestle
1979 The remaining shares in British Vinegars was acquired by Nestle[3]
By 1990 British Vinegars also owned Dufrais, a leading specialist brand of vinegar[4]
2002 acquired by Premier Foods[5] and then by Mizken
