1994. Procurement and Materials Management.

1962 One of the replacements for the British Transport Commission, oversaw the management of British Railways

1970 The Transport Act of 1968 allowed the railway to seek outside contracts and in 1970, the Workshops Division was renamed British Rail Engineering Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary Company of British Railways Board

1996 The British Railways Board remained owner of the operating companies until privatisation had been completed[1]
