1903 Company established in Liverpool by Professor H. S. Hele Shaw, associated with J. E. Jose and T. Thornycroft Vernon who assigned their interests to Platt Brothers and Co, Oldham.

1905 Incorporated as a limited company.

1914 Specialities: friction clutches for industrial purposes, clutches for automobiles and boats. Were the proprietors of Dr. Shaw's patent clutches, brakes, dynamometers, etc. Employees 110. [1]
