Maker of Phoenix heat resisting glass, of Bilston

1956 Developed electrical method of metal glass which involved passing an electric current through the glass[1]

1964 Acquired EMI's interest in Davey and Moore, maker of heat resisting scientific glassware[2]

1966 The company was acquired by United Glass[3]

1969 Negotiations took place to sell the company to James A. Jobling and Co[4] [5] but by end of 1969 the company had been closed[6]
