1930 Company incorporated

Supplier of driers to paint manufacturers; manufacturer of industrial chemicals.

1961 Brent Manufacturing Co was incorporated as a public company; a minority of its shares were made available to the public. Subsidiary Brent Chemical Products[1]

1967 Acquired the chemical products division of Zenith Carburetters[2]

1969 Profits dropped due to reduction in demand

1970 Merged with Phonotas, provider of a telephone cleaning service[3]. Three private investors put money into the business and gained seats on the board[4]. As a result they were able to reverse their small chemicals company into the listed Brent Manufacturing, becoming Brent Chemicals International[5]
