By 1897 the gasworks were marked on the OS map; they had been built for Viscount Boyne.

By 1905 they had been replaced by an electric power station.

1936 Brancepath Gas and Coke Co was a quoted stock on the London Stock Exchange[1]

1949 The Brancepath Co was vested in the Northern Gas Board
