Braithwaite (of Newport)

1884 Braithwaite and Kirk was established at Crown Bridge Works, West Bromwich.
The Company was engaged exclusively for a number of years on the manufacture of steel bridges, the majority of which was for export.
Early 20th century: The Neptune Works were established
1913 (or 1917) Became Braithwaite & Co, Neptune Works as a subsidiary of Braithwaite and Co, which had been established for undertaking fabrication of Structural Steel Works.
By 1937 the original Neptune Works had expanded significantly
1987 Braithwaite Engineers Ltd became part of the Rowecord Group, and has a diverse portfolio which includes the design and supply of the largest GRP and steel water storage tanks in the world.
1999 Designed, manufactured and commissioned the suction tanks serving the sprinkler system at the Millennium Dome project, London.
Now called Braithwaite, based in Newport [1]
