1867 One of the 2 establishments of Staffordshire Public Chain and Anchor Testing Co; the superintendent was Mr S. Tregenner[1]

1875 Tested various chains and anchors in an attempt to establish an acceptable standard for their strength[2]

1881 Presumably part of Lloyds Staffordshire Proving House Co when that was incorporated.
