1873 Acquired by Birmingham Small Arms.
1896 Birmingham Small Arms and Metal Company sold the part of its business of manufacturing ammunition, together with the property used for this purpose at Adderley Park and Streetly, to the Directors of the Nobel-Dynamite Trust Limited, who formed a new company to take over the works in question, under the title of the Birmingham Metal and Munitions Co.
1897 The company was registered on 26 August, to take over rolling mills and metal and ammunition works, formerly owned by the Birmingham Small Arms and Metal Co[2]
1912 Exhibitor at the Non-Ferrous Metals Exhibition at the Royal Agricultural Halls[3].
1914 Manufacturers of metal rollers and ammunition. Specialities: ammunition for all types of standard arms, brass and copper wire, rivets, nails, washers etc., motor radiator tubes, brass and copper sheets, strips etc. Employees 1500. [4]
1918 Explosives Trades Ltd was formed to merge together the UK explosives industry including Nobel Explosives, G. Kynoch and Co, Curtis's and Harvey, Eley, Kings Norton Metal Co and Birmingham Metal and Munitions Co.
1920 Name changed to Nobel Industries.
