BERTKAM KEITH ADAMS, born on the 3rd October, 1876, died in Mauritius on the 2nd April, 1914, of injuries sustained in a railway accident.
Trained on the North Staffordshire Railway under his father, Mr. Thomas Adams, he was subsequently engaged on, amongst other work, railway and canal construction in this country, and as District Engineer in the Public Works Department of Ceylon.
Proceeding later to Mauritius, he had just completed the new works upon which he had been engaged when he met his untimely end.
He was elected an Associate Member on the 13th January, 1903.
