1928 Beecham's Pills Ltd was formed as a public company to acquire the Beecham pills business and the great majority of shares in the Veno Drug Co[1], maker of Veno's cough medicine and "Germolene" antiseptic.
Also made Beechams Powders, Dr Cassell's Tablets, and Amami Shampoos

Took control of the businesses of Phosferine (Ashton and Parsons) Ltd., Natural Chemicals Ltd. (maker of Phyllosan), The Cicfa Co Ltd., Dinneford and Co Ltd., the Iron Jelloid Co Ltd., Holloway's Pills Ltd., Prichard and Constance (Manufacturing) Ltd. (Amami), A. F. Sherley and Co Ltd., and Lintox Ltd[3]
1938 Share issue to fund the acquisition of Macleans
1938 Acquired Eno Proprietaries, maker of Enos Fruit Salts, and County Perfumery Co Ltd, manufacturers of Brylcreem
1940s Acquisitions included:
- C. and E. Morton of Lowestoft, canners
- Bristow, toiletries
- Silvikrin, shampoo
1944 The company was renamed Beecham Group
