By 1917 The company had been established to handle the aero-engine side of Beardmore's business (see advert)

1919 The company purchased from the Government all of the Beardmore aero engines that they were prepared to sell.[1]

1922 Directors: Lord Invernairn of Strathnairn, Sir J. St. George, Bt., and F. Luther.

1924 The Beardmore engine was made in two types: normal ("Cyclone") and inverted ("Typhoon"), developing 800 b.h.p. at 1,220 r.p.m. and weighed 1,800 lbs. [2]
