1871 Living at (?) Farm, Frankley, Worcs.: Major Rose (age 44 born Halesowen), a Farmer and Gun Barrel Manufacturer. With his wife Sarah Jane (age 40 born Rowley) and their children Benjamin Woodhouse (age 16 born Rowley); Major General (age 12 born Rowley); Sydney Herbert (age 10 born Halesowen); Baron Rose (age 7 born Halesowen); Captain (age 5 born Halesowen); and Sarah Jane (age 4 born Halesowen). Also his cousin Mary Smart (age 39 born Rowley).[1]

1896 July. Listed of Halesowen. Chairman and Director of Bayliss, Thomas and Co and Managing Director of the Rose Tube Co.[2]

1911 Living at The Mount, Bromsgrove Street, Halesowen: Baron Rose (age 47 born Halesowen), a Gun Barrel and Steel Tube Manufacturer. With his wife (married 19 years with four children of which three are living) Lucy Edith Rose (age 48 born Kinswinford) and their sons Baron Theodore (age 19 born Halesowen); Francis Lionel (age 16 born Halesowen) and Kenneth Woodhouse (age 14 born Halesowen).
