1874 Limited company registered to take over the business of cotton spinners of the firm of the same name. [1]

1900 The company was registered on 16 March, in reconstruction on an enlarged scale of a company of the same name (registered 1874), to take over the business of cotton spinners of the firm of the same name. [2]

1957 Acquired John Myers, a mail-order company[3]

1959 Acquired Falcon Mill.

1964 Shortly after floating the mail-order company John Myers, the company was acquired by English Sewing Cotton Co[4]

1967 English Sewing Cotton Co sold the Falcon Mill and Prospect Mill, mainly spinning Terylene-cotton blended yarn, to Carrington and Dewhurst[5]
