1910 'Two well-known Bristol Builders have just passed away — Mr. August Krauss (aged 68) and Mr. George Humphreys. Mr. Krauss' chief works were the construction of the Weston-super-Mare sea-front, St. Augustine's Bridge and Colston Avenue.'[1]
