1952 Formed expressly to provide commercial television in Britain

1955 Merged with Incorporated Television Production Co. Would produce programmes for the London station at weekends and for the Birmingham station on weekdays[1]. There was concern that the likely initials "A.B.C." would be confused with that of another contractor so it was thought a change in name would be needed[2]. Subsequently renamed Associated Television or ATV Ltd.

One of the "big four" commercial television contractors.
