c.1841 Born in Sheffield, son of Thomas Ellin, merchant

1861 Thomas Ellin 28, steel cutlery manufacturer, lived in Ecclesall Bierlow, with Charlotte Ellin 24, Thomas R Ellin 1, and his brother Arthur R. Ellin 20, assistant in cutlery warehouse[1]

1870 Arthur was a merchant when he married Elizabeth Morley in Brize Norton[2]
