Arthur Robert Curtis (1905-1927)

Arthur Robert Curtis was born in 1905 and served his apprenticeship in the shops of Mercury Cars, Twickenham, at the same time pursuing his technical studies at the Kingston Technical Institute.
On the completion of his shop training, he joined the firm of Hobdell, Way and Co, as Assistant to the Works Manager, and in 1925 went out to Sydney, Australia, to take up an engineering appointment there.
He was killed in a motor cycle accident in Sydney on 25th September, 1927.
He was elected a Probationary Graduate of the Institution of Automobile Engineers in 1925.
