ARTHUR FREDERICK VERE STEPHENSON, officially presumed to have been killed in action on or since 23rd July, 1916, was born in Aberdeen 11th November, 1882.
Before the war he was for 4 years an Assistant Engineer in the Public Works Department of the Federated Malay States. He at once volunteered for service, returned to England early in 1915, and received a commission in the 4th Gordon Highlanders, in which he held the rank of Lieutenant at the time of his death,
He was elected an Associate Member 11th January, 1910.
