1896 Returned to Duke and Ockenden, waterworks engineers of Littlehampton
1898 Appointed water engineer with European Petroleum Co
1900 Chief Engineer and manager, Baku
1902 Joined I Mech E; engineer with European Petroleum Co, Baku, South Russia
1904 Left Russia; started work as consulting engineer in London, in partnership with Mr Campbell and Mr Hunter, specialising in petroleum engineering; published "The Oilfields of Russia and the Russian Petroleum Industry".
1930 Living in Sevenoaks[3]
