c.1907 Founded by Ivan Levinstein of Levinstein Ltd), Arthur Chamberlain, and others to exploit a salt deposit discovered at Plumley in about 1907.

1908 The firm established its works

1912 became a public company

1916 Taken over by Brunner, Mond and Co

1919 Liquidated.
