c.1865 Born in Bromley, Kent

1890 Married Florence Aitken in Bromley[1]

1894 One of the Partners in Nalder Brothers and Co when Herbert Nalder left the partnership[2]

1896 With Francis Henry Nalder, both of 16 Red Lion St, Clerkenwell, gained a patent on electric switches

1897 of 16 Red Lion St, London, gained a patent on securing shaft bearings to the frames of machinery

1901 Managing director of electrical manufacturing company (presumably Langdon-Davies Electric Motor Co), living in Bromley with Florence Soames 36, Gladys Mary Soames 9, Robert Ely Soames, Nora Soames 2[3]

1903-4 Walter Langdon-Davies and Alfred Soames, both of 101 Southwark Street, Surrey, gained patents on internal combustion engines, gear changers, clutches, etc. Such patents were the basis of the Soames car.

1911 Living on private means in Hadleigh, Sussex, with Florence Soames 44 and Gladys Mary Soames 19[4]

1918 Co-inventor of the Differential Electro-Magneto Clutch with Walter Langdon-Davies[5], which they patented together.
