c1786 Born in Eddlestone, Peebles, Scotland

Father of Alexander Brodie Cochrane

c.1830 Manager of Messrs. Grazebrook's collieries and ironworks near Dudley.

1840 Together with his son and John Joseph Bramah he started the Woodside Ironworks near Dudley.

1842 Dissolution of the partnership of John Joseph Bramah, Alexander Brodie Cochrane, Senior and Alexander Brodie Cochrane, Junior of the Woodside Ironworks, Dudley, ironmasters[1].

1851 Alex Brodie Cochrane 64, manager of iron works, lived in Dudley with Mary Cochrane 65, Thos Cochrane 33, Harry Cochrane 23, manager of iron works[2]

1853 Died 8 December in Netherton, Dudley
