Alexander Adam Lottimer was born in 1881 and was educated at Glasgow and West of Scotland Technical College. He received his apprenticeship with Dribs and Co., Polmadie, and subsequently with Claud Hamilton, Ltd.
He then worked as mechanic with Rennie and Prosser, being subsequently appointed under-foreman and tester. In 1908 he became Works Manager and subsequently partner with H. Prosser and Sons, Automobile Engineers, Glasgow, and in this capacity took an active interest in the Repair Certificate Movement.
He died on 7th April, 1937, at the age of 55.
He was elected an Associate Member in 1922.
