ca.1834 Born the son of Thomas Jowitt.

1861 Living at Lower Crabtree, Brightside Bierlow, Sheffield: Thomas Jowitt (age 54 born Sheffield), Steel Manufacturer. With his wife Ann Jowitt (age 48 born Sheffield) and their six children; Albert Jowitt (age 27 born Sheffield); Eliza Jowitt (age 23 born Sheffield); Lucy Jowitt (age 21 born Sheffield); Alice Jowitt (age 13 born Sheffield); Thomas Jowitt (age 10 born Sheffield); and Clara Jowitt (age 7 born Sheffield).[1]
