Acme Tea Chest Co Ltd, maker and trader in tea-chests and maker of aluminium foil, of Glasgow

1895 The Acme Tea Chest Syndicate Ltd., of 55 John Street, Bridgeton, Glasgow, was voluntarily wound up[1]

1897 The Acme Package Co Ltd, of 82 West Regent St, Glasgow, was voluntarily wound up[2]

1897 Acme Tea Chest Company established

1898 The Bottle Packing Case Co Ltd was wound up and the assets transferred to the Acme Tea Chest Co Ltd[3]

By 1956 Subsidiaries were Empire Aluminium Co of Glasgow, Wraptyn Co of Enfield, and Acme Aluminium Co of Colombo

1956 Acquired by Venesta, which was in similar business, for its main subsidiary Empire Aluminium which provided extra aluminium foil production without Venesta building a new factory [4]
