'We record with regret the death of Mr. A. C. McKechnie who died on January 25, 1965. Mr. McKechnie was for many years manager of the mining and contracting division of Ingersoll-Rand Company Ltd. He was fifty-seven years old, and spent all of his adult working life with Ingersoll-Rand having joined in 1927 after serving an engineering apprenticeship in the Midlands. During his career with Ingersoll-Rand he spent a portion of his time abroad, including the important Tema Harbour project in West Africa.'
