HACKETT, Bernard. Sales Manager, Eagle Engineering Co. Ltd., Warwick. Born Smethwick, 6th October,1893. Educated at C. E. School, Warwick, an studied Engineering at Leamington Technical College. Became connected with the Motor Industry in 1906 when the business was mainly concerned with Horse Drawn Vehicles and Agricultural Engineering. Appointed to present position, 1922. HADDEN, Leslie Porter. General Sales Manager, J. Blake & Co. Ltd. Born Leamington Spa, 7th May, 1892. Educated at Warwick School. In 1910 joined Clarke's Garage, Leamington Spa. Joined R.A.S.C. as Driver in 1914 and served in France and Belgium until 1918. Awarded Mons Star 1918-19. Served in Ireland 1919-22. Served in India; placed on R.A.R.O. with Rank of Captain. Became Wholesale Sales Manager with Rootes Ltd. in 1923. In June, 1939, recalled to R.A.S.C. on H.Q., S.M.D. to January, 1940. Commanded a Unit in France until evacuated from Dunkirk, 1940. HANDLEY, Joseph Done, F.I.M.I., M.INST.P.I. Proprietor, J. D. Handley & Co. Liverpool, 3. Born Liverpool, 15th February, 1900. Educated at Holt Grammar School, Liverpool. Gained diploma of Bureau of Inventive Science, Rochester, N.Y. and is Member of Institute of Patentees. Has invented much Transport and Service Equipment (now marketed and manufactured by Laycock Engineering Co. Ltd., of Sheffield). Was a well-known amateur footballer in younger days.
