1887 Registered as William Yates and Co.[1]

1896 Incorporated as Yates's Castle Brewery.[1]

1897 William Yates dies in Ireland. Founder of Yates and Gatehouse which became Yates Castle Brewery.[2]

1961 Acquired by John Smiths Tadcaster Brewery.[3]

1964 Ceased brewing.[4]
