1916 "A NEW WELLINGTON INDUSTRY.—A new industry, that of toy making, has been introduced at Wellington, this week, by Messrs. Johnson Brothers, Chad Valley Works, Harborne; the Wrekin Toy Factory is in the Central Hall, which has been purchased ..."[1]

1920 The soft toy business was relocated to The Wrekin Toy Works. The parent firm became The Chad Valley Co Ltd when the three factories were merged into one.
