c.1838 The first gasworks in Wolverton were built for the railway works of the London and Birmingham Railway.

The first works were closed when the second works were opened.

The second gasworks of the LNWR were built at the railway works to supply the works and the Town.

The third gasworks of LNWR built at the railway works to supply the works and the Town.
