1952 Manufacturer of magnetic speech recorders including "Airborne" crash-proof wire recorders for test pilots and "Reporter" battery operated miniature tape recorder.[1]

1954 Wirek (Electronics) Ltd. Sonorous Works, Edgware, Middlesex. T.: Edgware 7631. T.A.: Sonorous Edgware., Magnetic wire and tape recorders for 24-volt operation in aircraft.[2]

It seems likely that they were connected with Boosey and Hawkes.
