1935 'I, JOHN BIRKETT MOFFAT, Secretary of the Wilson Steamship Company Limited, hereby Notice, in consequence of a change of Ownership and in memory of a late Director, I hare applied to the Board of Trade, under Section 47 of the Merchant Shipping Act. 1864, in respect of our ship "LIGHTNING." of Newcastle, official number 140.106, of greet tonnage 365 tons, of register tonnage 136, heretofore owned by the Wilson Steamship Company Limited, of North Wall, Whitehaven, for permission to change her name to "HERBERT W. WALKER," to be registered in the new name at the port of Whitehaven, as owned by the Wilson Steamship Company Limited.'[2]
