WILLIAM SCOTT KERR was born in Glasgow in 1855 and served his apprenticeship with Messrs. Alexander Campbell and Son from 1869 to 1874.
He was later employed by the Fairfield Engineering Company as a draughtsman until 1877, when he joined Messrs. Richard Moreland and Son of Old Street, London, in the same capacity, subsequently becoming chief draughtsman. He afterwards took charge of contracts for the supply of machinery for brewery firms.
In 1912 Mr. Kerr joined Messrs. Arthur Kinder and Son, architects and brewery consulting engineers, of Westminster.
During the War he was engaged upon work in connexion with aircraft guns for the Admiralty.
Mr. Kerr had been an Associate Member of the Institution since 1904.
His death occurred on 24th January 1933.
